Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his maker?

For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.

But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;

I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my maker.

O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.

He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.

Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth his maker: and he that is glad at calamities shall not be unpunished.

The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all.

And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.

At that day shall a man look to his maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.

Ye made also a ditch between the two walls for the water of the old pool: but ye have not looked unto the maker thereof, neither had respect unto him that fashioned it long ago.

Woe unto him that striveth with his maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?

Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.

And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?

For thy maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name;

For Israel hath forgotten his maker, and buildeth temples; and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.

What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?

For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
